During the past few days, the Ciara storm hit the North of France. Even if the storm has passed through the areas that concern us the most, the following recommendations remain generally valid in the event of strong winds:

  • Limit your travel and limit your speed on the road, especially if your vehicle is sensitive to the effects of wind,
  • Avoid any outdoor exposure (risk of falling objects, trees or traffic signs…)
  • Do not work on the roofs and never touch the electric wires that have fallen to the ground,
  • Store or secure objects sensitive to the effects of the wind and liable to be damaged.

Reminder of behaviour to adopt near the coast:

  • Do not walk by the sea or estuaries,
  • If necessary, circulate with caution limiting your speed and do not go on roads exposed to swell or already flooded.
