Last week on Wednesday and Thursday, the two Flidars of Axys have been recovered and brought back onshore to Blyth Port (UK) after completing the Post-Validation offshore measurement campaign. The Flidars have been deployed mid-December and have successfully completed their data acquisition campaign. The goal of this campaign was to check the Flidars measurement accuracy against the Offshore Met Mast of NAREC. The same activity was already performed in March 2015 as a pre-validation campaign on the same site. These validation campaigns are used to confirm the accuracy of the data acquired on our sites and to confirm the uncertainty on the energy production of our OWFs.
These two recoveries conclude 5 years of offshore operations, sometimes challenging. Now the lidars will be brought to an onshore validation test to complete the post-validation protocol.
